Tea-Tree Essential Oil

Tea tree essential oil, also known as Melaleuca alternifolia oil, is a powerful and widely used essential oil that comes from the leaves of the Australian tea tree. It has a fresh, medicinal, and slightly earthy aroma, making it a staple in aromatherapy and skincare.

Here are some key characteristics and benefits of tea tree essential oil:

• Fights Acne: kills acne-causing bacteria and reduces redness and swelling in pimples.

• Controls Oil: It regulates sebum (oil) production, which helps mattify shiny skin and keep pores clear of dirt and debris.

• Soothes Scalp and Dandruff: It removes dead skin cells and excess buildup on the scalp to promote a healthy, flake-free environment.

• Calms Irritation: Its anti-inflammatory effects help ease redness and itching associated with minor skin flare-ups.

When using tea tree essential oil, it’s important to dilute it with a carrier oil (like coconut or jojoba oil) before applying it to the skin, as it can be strong and cause irritation when used undiluted. It’s also generally safe for use in diffusers or as a cleaning agent in diluted forms.
