Calcium Thioglycolate is a keratolytic agent that cleaves the disulfide bonds in keratin (a major component of hair). This softens the hair, allowing it to be wiped or rinsed away easily in depilatory formulations. It’s breaks disulfide bonds in keratin for hair removal and is also a Effective depilatory agent. it is less odorous than ammonium thioglycolate.
