Beta-cyclodextrin is a cyclic oligosaccharide made from glucose units. It has a unique molecular structure that forms a “doughnut-shaped” cavity, which can encapsulate and stabilize various substances, improving their solubility and bioavailability. It is used to mask bad odors in body care products that have strong smelling ingredients. it helps in controlled release of actives, helps reduce irritation.
